Madame Pele, our living, breathing elder, has been active again within Kīlauea—she’s bubbling up, burning through, and making space for something new.

I had the privilege of spending time with her last Wednesday when she was fountaining—fiery, alive, unapologetically herself. I spent over two hours sitting on the crater’s edge, journaling, praying, releasing, transmuting, and of course, marveling at the lava pouring out onto the caldera floor. It was wild and grounding all at once—a reminder that even the most intense eruptions carry the seeds of renewal.
