Nonprofits are critical infrastructure in our communities.

And too often, the leadership models inside them are built on urgency, scarcity, and personal sacrifice.

After more than a decade serving as a nonprofit Executive Director — and stepping in as interim ED during key transitions — I saw the same pattern repeat: strong, mission-driven leaders carrying too much, over-functioning to stabilize their organizations, and slowly burning out in the process.

Not because they weren’t capable, but because the leadership model itself was unsustainable.

For the past ten years, I’ve worked alongside nonprofit leaders ready to evolve how they lead by strengthening delegation, clarifying boundaries, and redesigning culture so organizations no longer depend on one person’s exhaustion to survive.

The organizations I’ve supported have gone on to serve more than 1.3 million people in their communities. Not because we pushed harder, but because leadership became steadier, ownership became distributed, and the culture became resilient.

My work focuses on regenerative leadership — helping nonprofit leaders build cultures that can sustain real impact without collapse.
